Carriage Hire T&C's.

It's the boring bit I know, but here we go...

  • Payment for your chosen carriage is by cheque, cash or bank transfer.
  • A non-refundable deposit of £200 is payable at time of booking to hold your chosen date.The remaining amount is then due 6 weeks before the wedding. Failure to pay this will result in your day being offered to other couples. 
  • Colour schemes required for carriage/horse decorations are to be advised at time of booking and confirmed when balance of monies is paid. Please don't give me a headache and change it the night before!
  • 2 weeks before your big day we will meet at a mutually convenient time and place to have a look at the proposed route and agree its suitability. We try to avoid steep hills where possible.
  • Once agreed, there are no deviations from the agreed route except in case of road closures/diversions.
  • An area in front of your venue is to be kept clear to allow the carriage to pick you up and drop you off safely. Please remember we are 20 feet long with no reverse!
  • Please remember that whilst our horse is very calm and reliable, she is still an animal. Therefore please no firecrackers or other sudden loud noises. Applause and cheering is fine and is expected.
  • We will do our best to work round any cultural traditions (drums, bagpipes etc.)  In order to get our horse used to these your musician will have to come to our yard, at your expense, for a training session.
  • We will not be held responsible for any delays or interruptions caused by a third party. We will give you an optimum time to leave in order to get you to the wedding venue on time. We can't be held responsible for photographers or bridesmaids who cause delays!
  • No smoking please in our carriages.
  • If you wish to have a toast whilst seated please do so, but beware of spillages. From our own experience we advise only filling your glasses half-way.
  • Should the hirer cause damage, either accidental or otherwise, then the hirer will be responsible and liable for all costs, including loss of earnings whilst the vehicle is under repair.
  • In the unlikely event of a breakdown, accident, emergency or unforeseen extreme weather condition we reserve the right to offer a substitute vehicle or offer a refund minus deposit.
  • We recommend that you take out wedding insurance.
  • Finally - don't forget to enjoy your day!
